The International Health Research Institute, IHRI, though founded in 2022, stands upon a formidable foundation: a fifty-year legacy in professional practice and pioneering work-based learning. This deep heritage, rooted in transforming real-world experience into academic excellence, has always positioned us at the forefront of applied knowledge.
While our initial focus from 2022 was on health sciences and space health, delivering vital solutions for human lives, the post-COVID era has profoundly deepened our understanding of the intricate, interconnected nature of our world. We've seen that the grand challenges facing humanity – from the urgent realities of climate change and the complexities of food systems, to the ethical frontiers of AI, the critical need for resource security, and the imperative of disaster preparedness – cannot be solved in isolation. They demand a truly holistic, transdisciplinary approach.
