AgriFood &
Environmental Systems.
Unit 04 advances applied research in food system resilience, environmental health, and water infrastructure sustainability under a One Health framework — investigating the intersection of agricultural systems, ecosystem dynamics, and population health outcomes.
Unit currently being established — research activity will be announced in due course
Partnership EnquiriesUnit 04 Research Focus
Unit 04 is being established as an independent applied research node within IHRI's Pillar II framework. Its research mandate encompasses two interconnected areas of inquiry under a One Health lens.
AgriFood Systems & Food Security
Investigating agricultural resilience, food system sustainability, and the health dimensions of food security in resource-constrained and climate-affected environments. Research will focus on cross-border food system dynamics and the evidence base for policy and practice.
Environmental Health & One Health
Advancing research in climate adaptation, ecosystem health, water infrastructure sustainability, and zoonotic risk at the environmental interface — applying One Health principles to generate evidence that bridges ecological and population health outcomes.
Collaborate with Unit 04
As Unit 04 is established, IHRI welcomes enquiries from research organisations, academic institutions, and applied research partners with interests in AgriFood systems, environmental health, and One Health frameworks. Early partnership conversations are encouraged.
