Admissions & Pathways | IHRI
Doctoral School Admissions

Your Path to
Candidacy.

Entry to the IHRI Doctoral School is selective. We are looking for experienced professionals with the vision to lead systemic change. The process is designed to ensure alignment between your ambitions and our research capabilities.

The Selection Process

A transparent, four-step pathway to enrolment.

01

Submission

Submit your CV, academic transcripts, and a 250-word Research Concept Note. This brief proposal should outline the problem you wish to solve and its relevance to your field.

02

Academic Review

Our faculty panel reviews your application to assess academic eligibility and alignment with our Research Centres. We check for the potential of "High Impact."

03

Interview

Shortlisted candidates are invited to a virtual interview with the Dean or a Centre Director. This is a discussion about your motivations and research fit.

Offer & Onboarding

Successful candidates receive a formal Letter of Offer. Upon acceptance, you will be assigned a Principal Supervisor and inducted into the Fellowship.

Guidance: The 250-Word Concept Note

We do not require a full dissertation proposal at this stage. We ask for a concise "Concept Note" to understand your thinking.

Your note should address:

  • What is the specific "wicked problem" or gap you want to address?
  • Why is this problem significant to your organization or sector?
  • How does your professional experience position you to solve it?
